Good and Sad news all in one (Sort of)


Okay, so last week I spoke about adding bosses so far that's been going alright and it's working great for now (although still very buggy). So this week was a bit more slow-paced, what I've been up to is just trying to build the game world a bit more. I can somewhat confidently say that the first level is about 80% done and I might release a demo for just that level sometime shortly. So some cool new stuff I added are simple things like health pickups and I added a shield system to the player to make it a bit more challenging and satisfying to play the game.

Another thing I want to talk about is that I'm currently a student, so my school has decided to start our final exams as a way to wrap up the semester due to all the you-know-what, so the development of the game is currently on hold for the next 2-3 weeks as juggling studying and development would be very difficult.

So even though I just started this devlog series it would now be on hold until I've completed my exams and all. This doesn't mean development has stopped as I'll have a lot more time once all this is over.
